re-plate S - Reinforcement of steel components

re-plate S is a prestressing steel made of memory steel in form of a strip. The product is an efficient and easy-to-install reinforcement measure for fatigue protection of steel components or other alloys. The material is pre-strained by re-fer in the plant to a permanent deformation and delivered to the construction site according to the order list. The strip is then bonded to the steel substrate at both ends with SikaPower-1277. To activate re-plate S and hence prestress it, the memory steel is heated to a temperature between 100 and 300°C with the infrared heater of re-fer or gas torch. The ready-applied strip acts as an end-anchored and prestressed external tendon without bond.

Application on steel components and other alloys

1 Stick self-adhesive heat protection tape re-protect onto the prepared substrate 2 Apply system-tested adhesive SikaPower-1277 in the area of the anchoring surfaces 3 Apply re-plate centrically over re-protect 4 After the adhesive has cured, heating is carried out in stages with the re-fer infrared radiant heater or gas torch 5 Temperature control of re-plate with sensor / create protocol 6 After cooling the lateral gaps under re-plate are filled with SikaPower-1277 7 re- plate completely applied and pre-stressed
